Bodalla

Bodalla (pop. 960) was originally a centre for the dairy industry, but now also offers a tourist destination with a different flavour to the coastal resorts nearby. About 6km north of town, Trunketabella Gardens is home to one of the largest bellbird populations in NSW.

Bodalla is home to another Highway One Giant; the Big Cheese. It's at the north end of town outside the long closed and abandoned Big Cheese Centre on the east side of the Prince Highway. They say the tradition of great milkshakes and road food which that once made the Big Cheese Centre famous among old-time Highway One travellers has been re-established at the new Diairy Shed retro Milk Bar just a little south in downtown Bodalla.
